If you are tired of paying an unfair amount at a restaurant when the bill is just split evenly, DivisiBill is your answer.
DivisiBill lets you indicate who pays for each item on a bill. For items that were shared, you can indicate who shared them, and, if appropriate, split the cost unevenly between them.
DivisiBill lets you enter a bill by taking a picture of it and having the program list the items automatically, by typing in each item on the bill manually, or a combination of the two.
Once DivisiBill has the list of bill items and knows who had what, it calculates how much each guest owes, including tax and tip. It can handle restaurant discounts (evenly or unevenly), deal with tax calculations that are off by a few cents (surprisingly common), and cope with a variety of other complex situations. The program is intended to handle more or less any common scenario.
You can email the results to attendees, including an image of the bill if you wish.
DivisiBill can also remember and reuse past bills, and will make a pretty good guess at which prior bill to use based on your GPS location.
DivisiBill is intended to handle complex bills where you want each person to pay their fair share. If all you want to do is split a bill evenly and maybe calculate a tip or tax, there are lots of free calculator programs available to do that.

AutoPlus Software is a company originally formed to market a body shop management tool called AutoPlus. That product went out of support years ago, but the name lives on.
It's meant to represent a bill being torn (split, get it?) into multiple pieces, clearly the work of a programmer, not an artist...
